Calvin Mitchell Joins KARV Communications as Senior Advisor

KARV Communications, a strategic communications firm focused on global corporate and financial communications, crisis management and public affairs, today announced that Calvin Mitchell has joined the firm as Senior Advisor. A proven crisis and corporate communications leader, Mitchell brings more than 25 years of experience providing effective communications solutions to government agencies and global business enterprises and individuals at the highest levels in the U.S. and other world financial centers.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has handled complex communications assignments involving crisis communications management and investigations by global regulators; national security matters; and financial and business issues, including financial communications and earnings announcements, early stage investing, and IPOs.

He previously served as the Global Co-head of Corporate Communications at Credit Suisse and as the Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Thomson Reuters. Mitchell has worked with private and public sector clients in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia, holding senior communications roles in the U.S. State Department and Department of Treasury as well as The White House and National Security Council. Of particular relevance is his experience as Executive Vice President and Head of Communications at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he served throughout the financial crisis. In addition, he was a career member of the U.S. Foreign Service, America’s diplomatic service, serving abroad and at the United Nations.

KARV also welcomes Niki Iskarpatyoti as an Associate specializing in public affairs/issues management, media strategy, and communications writing. Iskarpatyoti joins the firm from Philadelphia where she served as the Political Director to U.S. Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-13). In addition to her knowledge of a broad range of important state and federal related issues, Iskarpatyoti brings extensive advocacy skills and a deep understanding of non-profit organizations.
