Calvin Mitchell Senior Advisor
Calvin has more than 25 years of experience in providing strategic communications counsel to high-level business and government leaders, creating and executing long-term strategic communication plans, crafting effective messaging, and serving as a media spokesperson.
He has handled complex communications assignments involving crisis communications management and investigations by global regulators; national security matters; and financial and business issues, including financial communications and earnings announcements, early stage investing, and IPOs. He has experience in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Calvin previously served as the Global Co-head of Corporate Communications at Credit Suisse and as the Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Thomson Reuters. Complementing his private sector experience, he has also held senior communications roles in the U.S. Government at the State Department, Department of Treasury, The White House and National Security Council. He also served as Executive Vice President and Head of Communications at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York throughout the financial crisis.
He was a member of the U.S. Foreign Service, America’s diplomatic service, serving abroad and at the United Nations. He has worked in and traveled to more than 75 countries.
Calvin is a graduate of Yale College and has completed the Global Leadership Program at Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth, and IE Business School, Madrid.
