Eric C. Andrus Joins KARV Communications as Executive Vice President

Seasoned Exec to Enhance Firm’s Crisis Management, Litigation Support, Financial Communications and Reputation Building Capabilities

August 12, 2014 – KARV Communications, a strategic communications firm with a focus on corporate and financial communications, crisis management and public affairs, today announced that Eric C. Andrus has joined the firm as Executive Vice President. Andrus is a senior strategic communications strategist with three decades of experience advising corporate, government and non-profit leaders on a range of critical reputational, financial and positioning issues.

“I am excited that Eric has joined KARV and brings his extensive knowledge, experience and insightful skills to our growing two-year old company,” said Andrew Frank, Founder and President of KARV Communications. “As a premier strategist in helping companies, government agencies and other institutions navigate through high-profile crisis, litigation, financial and other critical communications challenges, Eric will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our new business efforts.”

Andrus will work with KARV Founder and President Andrew Frank to bolster the firm’s strategic communications offerings with added expertise related to corporate reputation, crisis management, financial communications and reputation building. He brings extensive experience helping C-suite executives and boards manage complex changes and challenges, having counseled companies in the finance, insurance, technology, media, energy, transportation, gaming, healthcare, real estate, professional services and consumer products/services industries. Andrus also has developed and implemented communications strategies for a number of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, proxy fights and IPOs.

Andrus joins KARV Communications from RLM Finsbury, where he served as Partner and helped the firm’s Fortune 500 clients advance their business goals. Prior to joining RLM Finsbury in 1998, he received two political appointments during the Clinton Administration: Director of Communications for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, and Director of the U.S. Information Agency’s New York Foreign Press Center. Andrus also held senior media strategist and spokesperson positions with two New York City economic development agencies, and served as an account executive for Geto & de Milly, Inc., a New York City-based firm specializing in public and government relations. Earlier in his career, he served in media relations and spokesperson roles for a number of presidential, congressional, and state-wide political campaigns.

Eric Andrus added: “I am pleased to join KARV Communications and help bolster the firm’s ability to provide exemplary communications and public affairs counsel to its growing roster of global clients. The firm has quickly become known for high-level strategic advice, insightful analysis and ultimately actionable solutions, and I look forward to continuing this work with Andrew and the worldwide talent he’s assembled at KARV.”

“I am very proud of what KARV has accomplished in its first two years and our talented team and our clients have been the reasons why weve grown,” added Frank. “Eric will give us even more fire-power as we move into the future with an enhanced geographic reach and a substantially broader set of capabilities.”
