We’ve Moved! + Other Updates

After a tumultuous election year in America, ongoing wars in various parts of the world, and a change in leadership at the United Nations and in the White House, 2017 promises to be another year of big change – and that has already been the case here at KARV Communications.

We’ve Moved!

On January 1st we moved into new offices at 122 E. 42nd Street – the historic Chanin Building, an Art Deco masterpiece built in 1929.

This new location will support our firm’s continued growth and enhance our ability to deliver the best possible communications counsel to our corporate, non-profit, and government clients wherever they may be.

Our new HQ address:

122 E. 42nd Street, Suite 2005

New York, NY 10168

Our phone numbers and email addresses remain the same. The new offices are across the street from Grand Central Station.

Fun trivia: the Chanin building has its own zip code – as do several other larger NYC buildings.

We look forward to helping our clients around the world navigate change and achieve their goals during these unpredictable times.

KARV has been fortunate to work on a diverse array of interesting client assignments in 2016 and into the New Year:

KARV has provided proactive media relations and issues management services for nuTonomy, a top developer of self-driving vehicles, around its first-in-the-world public trial launch in Singapore and, most recently, the start of autonomous vehicle tests in Boston. We generated major positive coverage in the world’s top business, technology and automotive media that quickly established nuTonomy as a clear leader in the autonomous vehicle industry.

Clients facing litigation issues

KARV assisted a prominent actor/comedian who filed a lawsuit against one of the world’s leading entertainment corporations for a long-outstanding breach of contract, fraud and fraudulent concealment associated with a well-known movie property. We also worked with a developer of casino resorts in a case against a foreign government after its property was illegally expropriated, devalued and threatened with seizure.

Product recall matters

The KARV team worked on a number of issues management and product liability and recall issues. Clients that we supported included a major Chinese home appliance company with a large U.S. operation, and a global baby products manufacturer. These cases included pre-recall planning, recall execution, media relations, editorial support and social media strategy.

KARV has represented other corporate, government and non-profit enterprises in complex litigation situations, supporting the litigation strategy via external and internal communications and helping to protect the corporate reputation during the legal process, identify avenues for resolution, and rebuild reputation in the wake of litigation. More information about these services is available here.

The KARV team posts periodic blogs on topics of interest to our clients and the network we’ve built over the years: our recent blogs offer insights on the U.S. presidential election and the new president’s unprecedented approach to communications. And now that we’re in the thick of the new administration, we will comment from time to time on important issues that may affect our clients around the world. You can find us on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Please join in the discussion and comment.
