Seth Jacobson
Seth Jacobson leads our Los Angeles efforts through his company JCI, and is one of the country’s leading communications and public affairs specialists, with more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs and public relations with a special emphasis on energy and environmental issues. Seth has created specialized government relations, branding and advocacy programs for companies and organizations competing in the new global marketplace. He began his career designing communications campaigns for business and political leaders.
Beyond his work in the public sector, he has executed communications programs and media ventures for Celanese Corporation, Chevron USA, American Petroleum Institute, The Daniel Pearl Foundation, Eli Lilly, Bombardier Recreational Products, PHARMA, Veritainer Corporation, Albemarle Corporation, among others. He has created specialty outreach programs and communications strategies for public agencies such as: US State and Commerce Departments, State of California ‘s Business Development and Marketing Program, California’s State marketing initiatives and work with the United Nation’s.
Prior to starting JCI, he spent 12 years leading the western divisions of two of the nation’s largest public relations / advertising agencies – Ogilvy & Mather, and Edelman Public Relations – where he ran divisions responsible for public affairs, public relations and new technology. Before coming to California, Jacobson spent five years working in Washington, D.C., including several years in the Carter and Clinton administrations in positions focused on energy, technology, economic development and foreign policy.
